Eyelid Surgery For Men
Eyelid surgery has becoming very appealing to many men who seek to improve the overall appearance of the face by opening up the eye area. Due to aging as well as hereditary factors, the eyelid area can appear droopy and sometimes puffy with excessive fatty tissue. Through cosmetic eyelid surgery, men can experience dramatic results where excess skin and fatty tissue may be removed in the upper and lower eyelids, resulting in a refreshing, energetic, and more youthful appearance.

Benefits of Eyelid Surgery
Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery has grown popular among men who seek to improve their facial appearance by removing loose skin around the eyelid that conceals the natural contour of this area. By removing excessive skin and tissue, eyelid surgery can correct wrinkles and puffiness, while eliminating baggy skin. Patients immediately notice results such as a more relaxed appearance, wider and brighter eyes, and an overall freshness that they find very appealing.
Eyelid Surgery Procedure
Typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, with or without intravenous sedation, eyelid surgery can involve either the upper or lower eyelids or both. Sometimes, men can have other procedures performed in addition to cosmetic eyelid surgery, such as a facelift. For lower eyelids, Dr. Breitbart makes incisions along the edge of the lash line or within the eyelid, while for upper eyelids, incisions are made in the natural lid crease of the upper eyelid.
Recovery from Eyelid Surgery
Patients use cold compresses after surgery for a 1-2 days. Within one week, sutures are removed, most of the swelling subsides, and the patient can return to work and other activities.
