BOTOX®, Restylane®, Juvederm, Lip Augmentation, Voluma® and Fat Injections

Advances in technology have made it possible for Dr. Arnold Breitbart to provide effective wrinkle treatment and other cosmetic procedures without performing surgery. Patients are now able to experience improvements in their overall appearance without incurring the risks or the amount of recovery time associated with some surgeries. At his Long Island and Manhattan offices, Dr. Breitbart uses BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane®, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel, Voluma® injections, and other non-surgical treatments to help patients achieve smoother and younger-looking skin and lips without surgery.

BOTOX® Cosmetic Solutions

One of the most popular non-invasive treatments, BOTOX® Cosmetic is best known for its ability to temporarily weaken facial muscles that cause wrinkles, leaving patients with smooth and younger-looking skin and a refreshed appearance. However, BOTOX® Cosmetic has other uses as well. At his Manhattan and Long Island practice, Dr. Arnold Breitbart can also administer BOTOX® injections to reduce excessive underarm sweating.

Common Uses for Botox

BOTOX® injections are commonly used to reduce the appearance of frown lines on a person’s forehead and between the eyebrows, as well as to smooth out crow’s feet around the eyes. These injections are also useful for smoothing the muscle bands of the neck. Due to how quickly BOTOX® Cosmetic can be administered, patients are able to drop by Dr. Breitbart’s office for a few minutes and return to work or normal daily activities soon after because administering BOTOX® Cosmetic is a quick and painless process.

Recovery from Botox

Unlike other forms of cosmetic treatments that are more expensive and require longer recovery time, BOTOX® injections can take just three to five days to show effects and can last up to six months. Many patients find that after successive treatments, they can enjoy long lasting results.

Other Remedies with Botox

As a treatment for excessive sweating, BOTOX® injections inhibit the chemicals that control nerves and cause a person to sweat. When these nerves are unable to trigger the sweat glands, less sweating occurs. Patients who have received this treatment are free of excessive and embarrassing sweating with noticeably less underarm sweat. Daily activities can be resumed immediately after receiving a BOTOX® treatment, and sweating is typically minimized for several months.

Restylane® & JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel

Injectable dermal fillers can be used for wrinkle treatment and lip augmentation with excellent results. Dr. Arnold Breitbart offers many non-invasive treatments at his Manhattan and Long Island practice, including Restylane®, Perlane®, JUVÉDERM™, and Radiesse® injections, to help patients achieve their aesthetic ideals without undergoing surgery.

Restylane® and JUVÉDERM™ are safe and effective gels made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the human body. Free of animal byproducts, Restylane® and JUVÉDERM™ do not pose risks from allergic reactions. Dr. Breitbart may use Restylane® or JUVÉDERM™ to increase the fullness of lips. Patients who want to decrease wrinkles and nasolabial folds, the creases between the outer nose and sides of the lips, can also benefit tremendously from undergoing this treatment.

Results of Restylane® & JUVÉDERM™

Both Restylane® and JUVÉDERM™ treatments offer immediate results. Wrinkles around the eyes, nose, and mouth are diminished to produce a younger-looking complexion, with hardly any recovery time and little risk. As a lip-enhancing filler, Restylane® adds fullness and shape to the patient’s lips for a sensual and long-lasting look. Results of Restylane® and JUVÉDERM™ treatment can last six to twelve months, after which patients can request additional treatment.

Info on Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation, or lip enhancement, can help patients achieve fuller and more defined lips, creating an attractive and sensual look. Using injectable fillers of collagen or fat injections, Dr. Arnold Breitbart is able to enhance the shape and size of the patients’ lips in just a few minutes without the need for surgery. The results are plump and luscious lips that maintain their improved appearance for months. The patient can choose to have additional injections as desired to prolong the effects. Lip augmentation can also be performed with fat injections, using fat removed through Liposuction. This fat is purified and then injected to give enhanced lip fullness.

Recovery from Lip Augmentation

Patients can return to normal activities within one day and the recovery time period is generally a a few days or less. Lip augmentation has grown in popularity over the years and is appealing to many people who want to take off years from their face by adding fullness to their lips and reducing wrinkles. Lip augmentation can address laugh lines near the outer mouth, lipstick lines by the edge of the lip, as well as the inner lip.

Fat Injections

Fat injections can be performed to smooth facial wrinkles, add facial volume, or enhance the lips. Fat injections are commonly used to fill hollow cheeks, add volume under sinking eyes, to treat prominent nasolabial folds, and to enhance lips. Through Liposuction, Dr. Breitbart removes fat from other areas of the body such as the abdomen or thighs. The fat is then carefully purified and prepared for injection in the areas to be treated. Purifying the fat optimizes the long-lasting effect of the fat injection.

Dr. Breitbart begins by carefully checking your face to determine the best areas to augment with fat injections, marking strategic areas for injection sites. These areas are then cleaned using an antibacterial solution. Dr. Breitbart will then inject fat into each site. Each injection only takes a few minutes. In cases where the patient has deep scars or wrinkles, several fat injections may be necessary. For the lip area, multiple injections are necessary to evenly distribute the fat and to define the lip border. An improvement is visible immediately. The patient may experience some temporary discomfort and swelling of the area, which will subside within the next few days. Normal activities can be resumed within a few days.
